Use the website offline and protect browser storage
Load the PWA once, then keep its local storage.
Open the official website while connected and let it finish loading. Install it from your browser if offered. Open it once without a connection to check that the app and help pages were cached.
Use the same browser profile and website address to reopen your journal. A different browser, private window or device has separate storage.
Clearing site data, removing the browser, private-browsing cleanup or storage eviction can erase the journal and its local encryption key. Export encrypted backups outside browser storage.
The website needs a connection for its first load, updates and optional external links. It does not upload your journal. Android’s native journal has no internet permission.
If a page will not open offline, reconnect to load the app again without clearing site data. Keep a backup before attempting browser maintenance.
